Choi Choi Siwon was installed at the UNICEF East Asia Pacific Ocean Regional Friendship Ambassador at the 'Laos Generation 2030 Forum' in Laos Vientiane on the 11th (local time) to mark the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Choi Siwon is the first Korean artist to become a goodwill ambassador representing the East Asia Pacific Ocean region of UNICEF.
Choi Choi Siwon said: "I am very pleased to be installed as a goodwill ambassador for the East Asia Pacific Ocean region. In the meantime, I felt a sense of mission by visiting various countries and having a special experience of meeting children and their families directly. I will do my best to help children in the East Asia Pacific Ocean area in the future. "
Choi Choi Siwon has been involved in various UNICEF campaigns since 2010 through steady talent donations. In November 2015, he was selected as a special representative of the UNICEF Korea Committee. He visited UNICEF offices in East Asia Pacific Ocean countries such as Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam as well as Korea, and has been actively promoting children's rights.
