' Parasites won the Best Picture Award at the 40th Blue Dragon Film Awards held in Paradise City, Yeongjong-do, Incheon on the 21st. Parasites was the first Korean film to pinpoint the rich and poor of modern capitalist society through the meeting of poor families and wealthy families, and won the Golden Palm Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival in May.
In addition to the best picture, Parasites also won the Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Art Award, which also received unexpected lighting. As many winners, including Jung Woo-sung, who won the Best Actor award, promised, "I thought parasites would receive the award."
The director and new director were awarded by Bong Joon-ho of Parasites and Lee Sang-geun of Exit. The main actors were Jung Woo-sung of Innocent Witness and Cho Yeo-jeong of Parasites, the supporting actors were Jo Woo-jin of National Insolvency Day and Lee Jung-eun of Parasites, and the new actors were Park Hae-soo of Quantum Physics and Kim Hye-joon of Minority.
