The netizens who circulated fake rumors about actor Song Hye-kyo and wrote malicious comments were handed over to Prosecution.
Police in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province, said they handed over A and B, who are accused of defamation under the Information and Communication Network Act, to Prosecution for prosecution.
Mr. A is accused of publishing a false fact that Song is divorced because of a Chinese sponsor on his blog, and Mr. B is accused of insulting Song by making malicious comments about Song.
Song filed a complaint with the police in July, choosing 15 Internet IDs that made malicious comments or circulated fake rumors.
A police official said, 13 out of 15 IDs have already left the site and sent only two confirmed identity.
