Song Hye-kyo 'malicious comments and rumors' netizen sends two prosecutors

Two netizens who wrote malicious comments and circulated rumors to actor Song Hye-kyo were handed over to the prosecution as a "consultation opinion."

Police in Gyeonggi Province said on August 15 that netizen A and B were sent to the prosecution on charges of defamation and insult under the Information and Communication Network Act.

A is accused of damaging Song's reputation by publishing false facts by posting a message on his blog in June, when Song was known to be in divorce with actor Song Jung-ki, saying, "China's big sponsor is a decisive reason for divorce."

Song sued Police in July for specifying 15 Internet IDs that posted malicious comments and rumors about him.

Police explained that only 13 of them were sent to the prosecution, including A, who was identified because he was not traced, as he had already withdrawn from the site.
