Actor Song Hye-kyo has already agreed to divorce Song Joong-ki and left only the mediation process.
“The two sides have already agreed to divorce, and only the mediation process is ahead,” he added.
Earlier in the morning, Song Joong-ki's legal representative, the plaza, announced that he had filed an application for divorce mediation with the Seoul Family Court on behalf of Song Joong-ki.
“We are in the process of divorce after careful consideration with Song Hye-kyo and her husband,” said UAA, a subsidiary of Song Hye-kyo. “We have been forced to make this decision because both sides have not overcome the differences between them.”
Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo met in the KBS2 drama The Sun's Descendants in 2016 and married the following year.
Song Hye-kyo said, "Song Joong-ki and already have a divorce agreement and mediation process."
