Actor Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki, who were called 'couples of the century', were dismissed after two years of marriage.
According to Song Joong-ki's legal representative on the 27th, Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki filed a divorce settlement application with the Seoul Family Court the day before. It's been more than a year and eight months since she got married on October 31, 2017.
Song Joong-ki said, "I am sorry to have told many people who love and care for me that I am not good news."
Song Hye-kyo's agency UAA Korea explained the reason for the divorce as "character difference," saying, "The two sides have not overcome the difference and have made this decision inevitably. “We respectfully ask for understanding that the details of the matter are not available to us because they are the privacy of both Actors.”
Divorce mediation is a procedure in which the parties decide to divorce according to consultation without going through a formal trial. If the two sides agree on the mediation, it will have the same effect as the final ruling, but if the mediation is not successful, the divorce trial will be made.
