Second 'Top 10' entry

On Tuesday, Billboard News announced that its new BTS album, "Map City of London the Sol: Persona" (MAP OF THE SOUL: Persona) title song "Poetry for Small Things" (Boy With Luv) has entered the eighth place on the "Hot 100" latest chart.

This is the highest ranking ever set by BTS in the 'Hot 100' and the second 'Top 10' entry. Their previous "Hot 100" record was the 10th place set last year as "Fake Love" (FAKE LOVE), so the K-pop group's top record was also renewed in itself.

Billboard added that "BTS's second entry to the top 10 and the best record for a K-pop group," adding that they became the second K-pop singer after PSY, who came in second with the "Gangnam Style" (2012) and fifth with "Gentleman" (2013), the first K-pop group to enter the top 10 as revenge.

BTS has entered the "Hot 100" for the fifth time so far, and in addition to "Fake Love", it ranked 11th with "Idol" last year, 28th with "Mike Drop" (MIC Drop) remix in 2017, and 67th with "DNA".

The previous day, Billboard announced that BTS was the third to be ranked # 1 on the main album chart "Billboard 200" with a new album.

It is the third consecutive top-ranked show following the repackaged album "Love Yourself Resolution Anser" (LOVE YOURSELF ANSWER) in September of the same year as the regular 3rd album "Love Yourself Former Tier" (LOVE YOURSELF Tear) in May last year.

According to Billboard, it took BTS less than 11 months to top three albums on the "Billboard 200", ahead of the Beatles, who had an 11-month, one-week record. It also achieved the fastest three albums for the group since the band Monkeys in 1967.

The latest chart, which reflects the BTS new record, will be updated on the Billboard website on the 23rd.
