In 2008 and 2011, Lee won two gold medals at the awards ceremony, "Milyang (Performance Award and Director Award)" and "Poetry (Presiding Award and Screenplay Award) respectively.
The best picture award went to "One Family" directed by Hirokazu Koreeda, 57, of Japan, who won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes International Film Festival last year.
The best actor was taken by Yakusho Koji (63) of the Japanese film "The Blood of the Lonely Wolves" (director Shiraish Kazuya), and the best actress by Samal Yeslyamova of the Kazakh film "Aika" (director Sergei Dvorcevoy).
Talent Park Seo-joon, 31, won the Rising Star Award and group 'JYJ' member Jaejoong, 33, won the Next Generation Award.
The Asian Film Awards, held in Hong Kong every March, are an awards ceremony for Asian films.
