group BTS (BTS) swept the Japan Oricon charts following United States of America Billboards and the UK Official Chart.
On the 17th, Japan Oricon reported that "BTS' new album 'Map City of London the Sol: Persona' (MAP OF THE SOUL: Persona) ranked # 1 in the digital album rankings in Japan for the first week of sales (April 22).
“This album topped the charts and ranked #1 on the digital album list on September 17 last year, ranking #4 on the list of the albums, following Love Yourself Reason Answer (LOVE YOURSELF Answer), which was the fourth highest ever record on the digital album chart,” Oricon explained.
Earlier on the 15th (local time), United States of America Billboards and the British Official Chart predicted that BTS Shinbo will be ranked # 1 on the Billboards main album chart Billboards 200 and the UK Official Album chart.
Billboards reported that BTS will get 225,000 albums from 200,000 to 18th. "If this album reaches the top, BTS will be the third to take the top spot after Love Yourself former Tier (LOVE YOURSELF Tear) and Love Yourself Resolve Ancer."
“The sales of the Map City of London the Sol: Persona album has already exceeded the combined sales of all the first three albums, including Love Yourself former Tier, which entered the top 10 last year,” the British official chart said. “BTS has made history of the British official chart.”
The 2019 Billboards Music Awards will be held at the United States of America's MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 1.
Starting with United States of America Los Angeles on May 4-5, we will hold a Love Yourself: Speak Yourself (LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF) stadium tour in eight regions of the world, including Sao Paulo, London, France, Japan Osaka and Shizuoka, Brazil, through Chicago and New Jersey.
