“ProDeuce X101 applicants will begin their camp in early March,” a cable channel Mnet official said on the afternoon of the 19th.
The subtitle of this series, the fourth season of Deuce101, is Deuce X101 (X101). PD Ahn Joon-young, who has led season 3 since season 1, will direct this time. The production team is spurring preparations for the purpose of starting the camp on March 6 and broadcasting in April.
The crew recruited applicants from the end of last year; the target was a man born before March 2005. This season attracted attention by expanding the recruitment of individual Idol Producer compared to the previous series.
ProDeuce101 is an Idol Producer survival program aimed at debuting the project idol group, and has been at the center of the topic every season with thorough ranking. The final episode of Season 2 recorded 5.197% of the ratings (based on Nielsen Korea paid platform). Since then, similar survival programs have been produced on terrestrial networks, but they have not yet exceeded the ProDeuce101.
The idol group that was born through the program was also loved. The debut was made by girl group Io Ai with Season 1 (2016), boy group Wanna One with Season 2 (2017), and Korea-Japan joint girl group Izu One (12-member group) with Season 3. Io Ai ended its activities in January 2017 and Wanna One last December.
