BTS won four gold medals, including the Group of the Year award at The Choice Awards 2018, hosted by United States of America CBS, which boasts a 43-year tradition.
BTS won the Song of the Year Award and the Music Video of the Year Award for its song Idol following the Group of 2018 award at the People Awards 2018 in Los Angeles, California, on the 11th (local time).
He also won the Social Celebrity of 2018 award, winning the title of the year, beating Taylor Swift, a famous singer-songwriter of United States of America, and Ellen DeGeneres, who is well known as an actor and talk show host.
BTS failed to attend the awards ceremony on a scheduled schedule; instead, it revealed its award testimony through video. “I am very honored to be awarded the Group of the Year award,” the members said. “I just finished my United States of America tour. I love you,” he said.
BTS' official music video Idol (IDOL) has exceeded 50 million views in 20 hours since it was released on the video site YouTube in August. As of November 11, it has surpassed 256 million views and has been popular.
