BTS made another history on the 6th (local time) with a 'LOVE yourself' tour at United States of America New York City City Field.
On the day, BTS had a festival with about 40,000 fans for nearly three hours. City Field is the home stadium of the United States of America Major League New York City Mets, where only one of the most popular pop stars such as Paul McCartney, Beyonce and Lady Gaga has been named.
BTS has made a new challenge of performing the first United States of America AT & T Stadium in Korea, starting with LA on May 5, and finishing the finale here in New York City City Field through Oakland, Fort Worth, Hamilton, Newark and Chicago. The LOVE yourself North America tour sold out early on, with 220,000 seats for 15 performances.
From early morning on this day, City Field was filled with lively appearances of fans expecting BTS concerts. At the entrance of City Field, 1,500 fans waited for the concert two days before the first-come-first-served position, followed by BTS's song, and showed a group flash mob to heighten the festival atmosphere. The New York City Underground Authority (NYCT) also organized additional subways running to Cityfield.
“Starting in LA, this is the last night of the North America tour. I can’t believe you’re going to Cityfield. It is a great honor to be the second number one on the Billboard 200, the start of a new tour, the United Nations speech, and the first AT & T Stadium performance in United States of America. “I really appreciate ARMY for making all this happen.”
On the other hand, BTS will start a LOVE yourself European tour including O2 Arena in London, UK, Amsterdam, Berlin, Germany and Paris, France on October 9 and 10.
