group BTS has been certified as a 'platinum' for three consecutive times in Japan.
According to the Gold Disk Recognition Work released by the Japan Records Association on the 10th, BTS's Japan regular 3rd album FACE YOURSELF has exceeded 250,000 copies of sales and obtained platinum certification.
It is the third platinum record following the single Blood Sweat Tears () released in May last year and the single MIC Drop/dna/Crystal Snow released in December.
In particular, BTS recorded more than 500,000 copies of sales with its eighth single MIC Drop/dna/Crystal Snow released in December last year, making it the only overseas artist to release a single album in Japan in 2017, and it has set a milestone to receive the Double Jeopardy platinum certification.
Based on the cumulative sales volume of the album every month, the Japan Record Association classifies 100,000 copies of Lee Tzsche 'Gold', 250,000 copies of Lee Tzsche 'platinum', and 500,000 copies of Lee Tzsche 'Double Jeopardy platinum'.
On the other hand, BTS will release its third full-length album LOVE YOURSELF 'Tear' on May 18 and release the new album's new song stage for the first time in the world at the 2018 Billboards Music Awards held at United States of America Las Vegas on the 20th (local time).
